Dataset requirements & methodology
Use latitude and longitude for mapping; Case_ID, City, Full_Address and Date are supported. Common column aliases are detected. Missing IDs are generated and missing cities become “Unknown”. Invalid coordinates are excluded from filtered spatial analysis and remain available in the current dataset and quality panel. Black spots group identical City + latitude + longitude values; this is a frequency screen, not a statistical hotspot or severity model. Demo records are synthetic. Uploaded data is processed in your browser and is not saved to a server. Maps request tiles from OpenStreetMap or CARTO.
Geocoding sends each missing-coordinate address to OpenStreetMap Nominatim. Only use public, non-sensitive addresses. Addresses are processed sequentially, at most one request per second. Repeated addresses use a session cache; you can cancel a run. Results can be ambiguous; verify locations before using them.
